Steel Tube Institute Announces Retirement of Executive Director Bill Wolfe

CHICAGO, IL, May 6, 2015 – The Steel Tube Institute (STI) has announced the retirement of Executive Director Bill Wolfe after 13 years serving as head of the industry trade association. Joseph Anderson, who was named Hollow Structural Sections (HSS) Director last April, has been chosen as STI’s new Executive Director.
Wolfe leaves behind a legacy of dramatic growth for STI, strengthening the network of steel tubular product manufacturers dedicated to moving the industry forward through innovation and awareness. Wolfe placed major emphasis on safety in the steel industry during his tenure, creating and then broadening the organization’s Safety Committee as a venue where members and non-members could come together to learn and share best practices.
