EU Initiates Anti-dumping Investigation on CRC Imports

The European Commission has begun an anti-dumping investigation on imports of cold rolled coils from China and Russia.
Eurofer, the EU steel association, lodged a complaint on April 1, 2015 on behalf of EU steel producers of CRC. According to the EU Official Journal, Eurofer presented evidence “alleging that imports of certain cold-rolled flat steel products, originating in the People’s Republic of China and the Russian Federation, are being dumped and are thereby causing material injury to the Union industry.
The investigation focuses on “flat-rolled products of iron or non-alloy steel, or other alloy steel but excluding of stainless steel, of all widths, cold-rolled (cold-reduced), not clad, plated or coated and not further worked than cold-rolled (cold-reduced).”
