SSAB Announces Plate Price Increase

SSAB Americas sent a letter to their customers today advising that they are taking plate prices higher by $25 per ton. Here is the content of the SSAB letter:
Please be advised that effective immediately SSAB Americas is raising the transaction price for all non-contract As-Rolled Mill Plate, Cut-To-Length Plate >72”, Hot Rolled Coils >72”, as well as Normalized and Quenched & Tempered Plate by a minimum of $25 per ton.
This increase is effective immediately for all orders acknowledged for shipment the week of July 12, 2015, and beyond.
We also reserve the right to re-quote any open offers that are not confirmed with an SSAB order acknowledgement. SSAB continues to monitor market conditions in order to better realize the value our products bring to our customers. All other Terms and Conditions of Sale remain unchanged.
