Chinese Iron Ore, Scrap & Flat Rolled Imports/Exports for July 2015

Chinese steel trade data was recently released for the month of July 2015, providing updated data on iron ore imports, steel scrap imports, and flat rolled imports and exports. Chinese imports of iron ore in July were 86,100,000 metric tons, an increase of 14.9 percent from the previous month and an increase of 4.3 percent from July 2014. Total iron ore imports for the first six months of 2015 are at 538,920,000 metric tons.
July imports of steel scrap were 170,000 metric tons, down 19.0 percent from June and down 32.0 percent from the same month one year ago. 2015 total levels for steel scrap imports are at 1,440,000 metric tons.
