Comparison Price Indices: Mixed Week Last Week

We saw mixed results this past week regarding flat rolled steel spot prices in North America. Steel Market Update (SMU) only moved one index (hot rolled +$10) while all of the other products remained the same as the prior week.
SteelBenchmarker, which only produces pricing twice per month, reported hot rolled and cold rolled prices as being up while their plate number was down $18 per ton.
Platts was mixed with HR down $5 and cold rolled up $5.
SMU Note: Galvanized prices include $78 in extras for a .060″ G90 product. Galvalume prices include $291 in extras for a .0142” AZ50 Grade 80 product.
FOB points for each index:
SMU: Domestic Mill, East of the Rockies.
SteelBenchmarker: Domestic Mill, East of the Mississippi.
Platts: Northern Indiana Domestic Mill.
