My understanding is the salespeople at the former CSN Terre Haute, Ind., steel mill will remain with Steel Dynamics. SDI did something similar when they purchased what is now SDI Columbus, Miss. I have heard that Paul Navetta is the sales manager at SDI Terre Haute. I also understand that Jerry Richardson will remain with CSN, LLC, which will be the U.S. trading arm for CSN out of Brazil.
We continue to book registrations for the SMU Steel Summit Conference on Aug. 27-29. The conference currently has 700 registrations and growing. SMU is also taking registrations for our first Steel 201: Introduction to Advanced High Strength & Other New Steels Workshop, which will be held at AK Steel’s new Research and Innovation Center on Sept. 11-12, 2018.
