NIM Group Adding Processing Line to Colorado Facility

    Written by Laura Miller

Steel service center NIM Group is adding a new processing line to its Norfolk Iron & Metal facility in Windsor, Colo.

Installation of a new precision cut-to-length line from Red Bud Industries and a hydraulic cassette leveler from Braner USA will begin at the end of this year. Operations are slated to begin in the first half of 2023.

The new line will be capable of leveling and shearing cold-rolled, coated, and stainless steels, as well as aluminum, in gauges from .024” to .250” in widths up to 72”.

NIM acquired the Windsor facility from Plateplus Inc. earlier this year.

The NIM Group is made up of Cd’A Metals, Metalwest, and Norfolk Iron & Metal, and operates 18 locations throughout the US.
