    All Metals Industries Purchases Gerber Metal Supply

    Metal products service center Gerber Metal Supply Co. has been purchased by All Metals Industries Inc. (AMI).

    Gerber is a New Jersey-based distributor of carbon sheet steel, strip, blanks, and edge processed material.

    Belmont, New Hampshire-based AMI is a finisher and distributor of carbon, aluminum, stainless, and coated sheet and coil products serving the Northeastern region of the US.

    Terms of the deal were not disclosed. The Metals & Metals Processing investment banking team of Brown Gibbons Lang & Co. (BGL) served as financial advisor to Gerber for the transaction.

    “With the company’s co-founders looking to transition to retirement, it was important to find a partner who would not only continue the legacy of the business they had built for nearly 60 years, but also take it to the next level,” BGL noted in a press release announcing the sale.
